HOT SPRINGS – The Montana Highway Patrol says a trucker from Washington state was killed in a crash involving two semi tractor-trailers in a construction zone near Hot Springs in western Montana.
The patrol says both vehicles were traveling over the posted speed limit in a construction zone in Montana 28 at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim’s semi was following another tractor-trailer that had slowed down some. The patrol says the victim’s semi crashed into the back of the other semi. The load in the victim’s semi slid forward and entered the cab, killing the driver, a 58-year-old man from Pacific, Wash. His name has not been released.
