Man Arrested in Hungry Horse Kidnapping, Rape Case

By Beacon Staff

Flathead County officials have arrested one man and are searching for another after a woman reported being kidnapped and raped Sunday night.

Sheriff Mike Meehan said Kasey D. Kehoe, 27, was arrested on suspicion of rape, aggravated kidnapping and criminal contempt.

Dispatchers received a 911 call at 10:45 p.m. Sunday from a woman who said she had been walking home from a Hungry Horse tavern when two men forced her into a brown-and-tan truck, drove to a wooded area and assaulted her.

Her cries for help were heard by a neighbor in the area.

Soon after getting the report, a deputy spotted a truck matching the description heading west on U.S. Highway 2 toward Columbia Falls. The stop led to the arrest of Kehoe, who was alone.

Authorities are also investigating whether the case is connected to a reported abduction in Kalispell on May 14. The woman said she was abducted by two men in a pickup truck and driven to Whitefish, where she managed to jump out of the truck and get to a nearby house to call 911.
