A 48-year-old man accused of shooting his neighbor to death in Evergreen northeast of Kalispell has been convicted.
A Flathead District Court jury deliberated for about an hour Thursday before finding Baron Foster guilty of deliberate homicide in the May 8, 2009, death of 42-year-old Michele Miller.
Prosecutors say Foster was drinking and arguing with Miller when he picked up a 9 mm pistol and fired it twice. One bullet went through two neighboring apartments and was found in a third apartment, while the other hit Miller in the head.
Foster faces up to 100 years or life in prison, plus an additional 10 years because a firearm was involved in the crime. His sentencing has been scheduled for Aug. 12.
