Flathead County officials are investigating an arson fire at a drug and alcohol testing business in Evergreen.
KCFW-TV reports the Evergreen Fire Department received a call around 1 a.m. Tuesday reporting the fire at the back of the Valley Medical Center. Crews had the blaze under control within 45 minutes, but were unable to save the building.
Undersheriff Jordan White told The Associated Press Wednesday that investigators found signs of forced entry and an accelerant inside the building.
Owner Bernice Mellem says her business performs drug and alcohol tests. She says some people they’ve tested have been unhappy with the results and may have wanted to get even.
Mellem says she hopes to rent another building and reopen her business soon.
