BILLINGS – Authorities say two people were killed when the driver left the highway and crashed into a pair of trees near the town of Troy.

Montana Highway Patrol officials say a 32-year-old man from Troy was speeding before losing control of his Toyota Celica Saturday night. The driver and a passenger — a 21-year-old woman from Libby — were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

It was the second weekend crash with multiple fatalities.

Early Sunday morning, the driver and four passengers were killed in a truck rollover near Browning.
