Cabela’s Begins ‘Mass Hiring’ in Kalispell

By Beacon Staff

Cabela’s Incorporated plans to hire approximately 125 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees to staff its Kalispell Outpost Store, scheduled to open this fall.

The outdoor gear outfitter is already taking online applications for the positions at www.cabelas.jobs.

According to a press release from the company, interviews for the positions are scheduled to take place from Aug. 7 through Aug. 10. Cabela’s expects for most of the employees to be from Kalispell and the surrounding areas.

“We are looking for customer service oriented employees who are passionate about the outdoors and want to share their expertise with our loyal customers across the region,” David Hayward, general manager of the new store, said in a prepared statement. “The ideal candidate is a hard worker who lives the Cabela’s lifestyle, someone who will deliver the legendary customer service for which Cabela’s is known.”

Hayward joined Cabela’s in 2012. He worked at the company’s Glendale, Ariz., store before accepting the position in Kalispell.

The 42,000-square-foot Kalispell Outpost Store is Cabela’s second Montana location, joining the Billings store. It will be located near West Reserve Drive along U.S. Highway 93.
