Chris Young Fair Appearance Canceled

By Beacon Staff

Country singer Chris Young will not appear at the Northwest Montana Fair this evening for his scheduled show, due to medical reasons.

Young has been hospitalized in Denver with a leg infection, according to his website, and has canceled all his shows for the week.

County fairgrounds manager Mark Campbell said he deeply regrets any inconveniences this may have on ticket holders, but “we really hope for a speedy recovery for him and his family.”

In place of Young’s appearance, the fair will host a free concert for anyone on the grounds and those with tickets to the country show. It will feature Bruce and Betsy Mullen, RedHead Express and John Dunnigan.

“It will be two-and-a-half hours of entertainment,” Campbell said.

The refund process for Chris Young tickets will begin next Tuesday, Aug. 20. The fairgrounds will announce times and place for refunds soon, Campbell said.
