By Beacon Staff

MISSOULA — A Ronan man died and three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 93 in Lake County.

The Montana Highway Patrol says a 25-year-old Ronan man lost control of his Honda Accord at about 3 a.m. Sunday, near the town of Ravalli. The car struck an oncoming Dodge Avenger driven by a 25-year-old Missoula woman.

The Missoulian reports the Honda went off the road, flipped and came to a stop on its roof. The driver of the Honda died. His two passengers, a 26-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were injured, as was the woman driving the Dodge.

A sport utility vehicle that came upon the crash took evasive action to avoid hitting the Dodge, went into the ditch and struck an embankment. Neither occupant was injured.
