Northwestern A Divisional: Stavish, Frenchtown Take Care of Libby

It took a couple quarters, but the Frenchtown offense heated up and dropped Libby 49-26, advancing to the conference championship game to face top-seed Columbia Falls.

Vanessa Stavish scored a game-high 15 points, Lacey Hochhalter had 10 and the Lady Broncs outscored the Lady Loggers 32-12 in the second half.

Frenchtown (14-5) faces Columbia Falls (17-1) at 6 p.m., Sunday. When the Lady Broncs joined the Northwestern A two years ago, Columbia Falls was the team to beat. The Wildkats had won three straight divisional titles. But then Frenchtown upset the order, winning the last two, including last year’s 49-37 chipper over Columbia Falls.
