FLATHEAD REAL ESTATE IN PERSPECTIVE

THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SALES within ve miles of Bigfork rep- resents 8.7 percent of the total number of residential properties sold in 2015 and a 17.6 percent increase over the number sold in 2014. The median price showed a slight decline of 4.1 percent to $278,000.
This January, there are 146 homes that are on the market in this area compared to 140 in January of 2015. With 146 cur- rent listings, this represents 12.0 months of inventory compared to 7.6 months of inventory in Flathead County. Last year at this time there was 15.2 months of inventory in this same area.
In 2016 there have been nine sales in this area as of Feb. 16. In 2015 there were three sales in the same time period and ve sales in 2014. Although the num- bers are still small, it still suggests that the Bigfork area has gotten o to a good start in 2016.
Bank-owned and distress sales were about the same as there were in 2014.
