SUNDAY 2/22
8:59 a.m. Someone called in with fourth-hand information regarding a woman who may or may not have been passed out in her car.
9:10 a.m. Napkins and other glove box- type items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Peaceful Drive in Bigfork.
1:17 p.m. A dirt bike was reported stolen from a Sunset Drive resident. It was later found at a local repair shop.
1:32 p.m. Men were seen playing with remote controlled cars on West Reserve Drive, causing other vehicles to swerve “like they were playing dodgeball.”
2:45 p.m. A resident on Highway 2 West reported that multiple items including a snow blower and a dirt bike have been stolen out of his yard.
11:02 p.m. A resident on Daley Lane returned home to find his French doors, which he had left locked, wide open.
MONDAY 2/23
10:39 a.m. A carefree little Chihuahua was spotted skittering about on School Addition Road in Somers.
11:14 a.m. An employee of a gas station on Highway 35 found a “bag of crack” in the bathroom.
2:52 p.m. Someone reported that a little terrier was left alone and homeless on Second Street in Whitefish.
2:56 p.m. A Martin City man reported that his renter has failed to pay
rent, wrecked the curtains, and is harboring a puppy in her room.
5:22 p.m. A ferret residing in Columbia Falls was reported to be on “its death bed.” An animal warden found the ferret to be alive and well.
9:07 p.m. Someone with a laser light was reportedly “lighting up” airplanes that were flying in and out of Kalispell.
10:57 p.m. A Helena Flats resident saw a concerning “meteor” that looked to be the size of an airplane.
11:11 p.m. A Lakeside resident also called in with concerns regarding the “balls of fire” in the sky.
TUESDAY 2/24
11:28 a.m. A blue-eyed dog was captured on Conrad Drive and taken to the animal shelter.
12:59 p.m. A man on Foothill Road in Bigfork reported that the neighbor’s dog harasses him when he goes outside.
2:05 p.m. A troubled yellow lab was pepper sprayed and taken to the animal shelter after trying to start a fight on Nicholson Drive.
3:25 p.m. A Daley Lane resident reported that his snowmobile was
stolen off of his property while he was
out of town.
4:11 p.m. A Whitefish woman has
photographic evidence of the neighbor
dog’s bad behavior.
5:55 p.m. Reportedly, at least two
vehicles on East Idaho Street were hit by the passenger of a maroon pickup with bars of soap.
9:05 p.m. A woman found a large television shattered on Rose Bud Lane.
WEDNESDAY 2/25
12:18 p.m. A local woman called in to talk about her freeloading roommate and wondered if it would be illegal to change the locks.
1:22 p.m. A Bigfork resident called in to talk about the neighbor’s dog.
4:19 p.m. A wayfaring pit bull was captured on Highway 2 East and taken to the animal shelter.
4:52 p.m. Someone complained that kids in a blue van were spinning out in a field off of Highway 2 East in Kalispell.
6:33 p.m. A Kalispell resident reported that someone pulled into his yard and parked over the top of his septic system.
8:39 p.m. A black bull was spotted running down LaBrant Road.
THURSDAY 2/26
8:45 a.m. A barking dog annoyed a resident on Maple Drive.
9:06 a.m. Three dogs were spotted dodging traffic on Highway 2 East.
9:35 a.m. Plastic tubs were obstructing traffic in the northbound lane of Hodgson Road in Whitefish.
11:05 a.m. A Hungry Horse woman reported that someone has been harassing her by telling others that she is dead.
12:33 p.m. A little black terrier was on the loose on Boon Road in Somers. 2:49 p.m. A county inmate reported
that his wife has been stealing from
him.
3:07 p.m. The manager of a local
restaurant reported that a small
boy was driving a car around in the parking lot. The boy was gone when a deputy arrived.
4:37 p.m. Reportedly, someone broke into a storage shed in Martin City and moved all of the items out, but took nothing.
5 p.m. A Lakeside woman reported
that her fiancé used an excavator to pick up her vehicle and throw it off of a cliff. She feels that his actions were intentional, but can’t explain his logic.
7:53 p.m. Two transients were seen drinking beer outside of a local gas station.
