Friends Book Group
The Friends book group meets the second Tuesday of the month, September through June. All are invited to join the discussion. This month’s selection: Ari Shavit, “My Promised Land: The Triumph and Tragedy of Israel.” Shavit is a columnist for the center-left Israeli daily Haaretz. He has written a brutally frank portrait of Israel’s past and present dilemma.
