SUNDAY 5/17
11:50 a.m. A pit bull was seen chasing a cat down Dorothy Street in Columbia Falls.
2:01 p.m. A resident on Parker Hill Drive reported that an aggravated man drove over her trees, used some rude gestures, and threatened to kill her dog.
2:01 p.m. A man on Parker Hill Drive called 911 to report that a dog “came at” him, but didn’t bite him. He shot at the ground three times to scare it off.
2:29 p.m. Two huskies with a bad repu- tation were on the run down Eighth Avenue East.
3:16 p.m. A man was “scratched up” af- ter diving head first into a lake. He did not need medical assistance.
4:33 p.m. Someone reported a suspi- cious hitchhiker had a camera hang- ing from his pocket and a cordless drill attached to his backpack.
4:34 p.m. A woman on East Evergreen Drive reported that her Yorkie wan- dered off.
9:15 p.m. A Columbia Falls man report- ed that a woman stole his cell phone and refused to give it back. A deputy retrieved it for him.
10:23 p.m. A woman called from a local trailer park to report that her neigh- bor was outside yelling and shooting his gun.
3:45 a.m. A taxi cab driver reported that his female client vomited on the back seat and refused to pay the fair.
MONDAY 5/18
6:48 a.m. A goat was seen wandering down Highway 2 East in Columbia Falls.
8:30 a.m. A resident on Poplar Drive suspects that someone has poisoned five of his poplar trees.
9:17 a.m. A woman called from Eighth Avenue East wondering if those bad huskies had been picked up. She was concerned for her cats.
10:55 a.m. A Columbia Falls resident reported that two large dogs were out- side bullying his donkeys.
11:50 a.m. Someone called in to talk about a bad dog on Ridge Run Drive in Whitefish.
2:25 p.m. A Lakeside woman com- plained that the neighbor’s dog was in her yard.
6:01 p.m. Two women were separated after fighting over stolen property in a Coram resident’s front yard.
9:22 a.m. A woman on Sixth Street West reported that a golden retriever wandered into her yard. She wanted it removed.
TUESDAY 5/19
8:38 a.m. Someone watched an angry woman drive 50 miles per hour in re- verse down Jellison Road in Columbia Falls.
12:05 p.m. A woman on Moonlight Trail reported that the neighbor’s dogs harass her sheep through the fence.
12:47 p.m. A resident on Aero Lane in Bigfork complained that the neighbor man was outside shooting at birds.
12:48 p.m. Dogs were loose in Martin City.
7:48 p.m. Someone in Kila successfully captured a runaway basset hound.
WEDNESDAY 5/20
8:22 a.m. Someone found a pile of bones wrapped in a blanket on Crane Mountain.
11:08 a.m. A woman on Youngs Lane complained that the neighbor’s dog is never contained and is constantly ha- rassing her cat.
11:12 a.m. Someone called in to discuss a dog that was involved in some crimi- nal activity in Lincoln County.
12:42 p.m. A Hungry Horse woman reported that the people at “Fort Hun- gry Horse” set fireworks off at night. When a deputy advised her of her op- tions, she stated that she planned to buy a bullhorn and yell into it all day.
5:11 p.m. A Lakeside woman came home to find her neighbor mowing her lawn. When she confronted the man about his activities, he became upset. She stated that she is “freaked out” by his behavior and now she doesn’t want to go home.
6:45 p.m. A Columbia Falls woman complained that the neighbor man has been discarding his dead chickens in her yard.
10:29 p.m. A woman on Spring Creek Drive reported that a creepy man walked through her yard and waved at her through her window.
THURSDAY 5/21
10:01 a.m. A woman called from Hel- sinki to report a theft that occurred three years ago, when she was in Flat- head County.
10:02 a.m. A Lakeside woman called in to report child-related mischief oc- curring in the woods just south of her house.
12:01 p.m. A resident on Ranch Lane reported that a large dog was loose in his neighborhood. He would like to shoot it and wanted to know if that would be legal. He was advised to let the animal warden catch the dog.
4:14 p.m. An employee of a Bigfork gas station reported that middle-aged man in a tie-died shirt and camou- flaged pants stole a 12-pack of beer.
