PICNIC IN THE PARK
KALISPELL | Starts June 30
Enjoy live music in the shade of the large trees and pavilion at Kalispell’s Depot Park each Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., as well as the offerings from local food vendors. Bring a blanket or a chair and a picnic if you want, or just sit on the grass and let the vendors take care of dinner or lunch.
LAKESIDE COMMUNITY FAIR
JULY 11 | Lakeside
Head to the West Shore of Flathead Lake for one of the biggest celebrations and family-friendly events of the year there, which includes 5K/10K runs, silent auction, baked goods, arts and crafts booths, a parade, watermelon-eating contests, and more. MONTANA 200
JULY 16-18 | Montana Raceway Park
Get your blood pumping as the racers get their motors running at the 25th annual Montana 200. Race fans from all over the region head to Raceway Park north of Kalispell for this three-day event, so be sure to check out all the burning rubber and competitive spirits. ARTS IN THE PARK
JULY 17-19 | KALISPELL
The Hockaday Museum of Art will present the 47th annual Arts in the Park festival this year, showcasing the work of lo- cal and visiting artists and artisans. The juried show brings out some of the best artwork of the summer, and is comple-
mented with live music, food, and beverages. Proceeds benefit the Hockaday. Admittance costs $3, and kids 6 and under get in free. For more info: www.hockadaymuseum.org.
HERITAGE DAYS
JULY 22-26 | Columbia Falls
This annual celebration of Columbia Falls’ beginnings has something for everyone: a car show, free swimming, a farmers market, an auction and barbecue, a rodeo, a parade, a 5K/10K run, a family fun center, a wild horse drive, a barn dance,

THE EVENT AT REBECCA FARM

The Event is one of the preeminent equestrian triathlons in North America, attracting horse-and-rider talent from across the globe to compete in the dressage, cross country, and jumping competitions. BIGFORK FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
The 37th annual festival celebrates the artistic culture in the village by the bay, with plenty of arts and crafts exhibitors ready to share their work and fill the main streets of town with fun and frivolity. NORTHWEST MONTANA FAIR

It’s not summer without a trip to the fair, the Northwest Montana Fair, held at the Flathead County Fairgrounds, does not disappoint. Peruse the results of the hard work of local 4-H clubs, the animals, the flowers, and the baked goods, all while enjoying the carnival rides and main events, such as the Ram PRCA Rodeo and concerts from country stars Sam Riddle and Kristian Bush. CROWN OF THE CONTINENT GUITAR FESTIVAL

The sixth annual workshop and festival in Bigfork highlights some of the world’s best guitar talent as they spend their days giving workshops for students, and their nights filling the air with sweet sounds during public concerts.
