6:02 a.m. A resident of Splendid View Drive reported that a stranger was lurking in the trees. At one point he ventured out of the trees, but quickly ducked back in when a car drove by.
6:45 a.m. A middle-aged duo was seen looking into vehicles at an Evergreen grocery store. The caller also suspect- ed that they were busting up newspa- per stands with a crowbar.
8:22 a.m. A dead bald eagle that was found in the middle of Lakeside Bou- levard probably died of natural causes.
4:24 p.m. Someone on Church Drive is missing their portable air conditioner.
5:43 p.m. The well-being of several horses residing in the Columbia Falls area were threatened by a vindictive woman.
MONDAY 6/6
2:38 a.m. A Marion resident reported that a man told him that a hostage situation was going down at the local dump. There was no situation when deputies arrived.
7:19 a.m. A resident on Ridgewood Drive reported that a transient was outside in one of his lawn chairs, taunting him.
9:09 a.m. A Martin City resident re- ported that the neighbor’s black Lab was a bad dog.
10:28 a.m. A resident on One Way re- ported that the neighbor’s dog ate a chicken.
10:56 a.m. A Kalispell man reported that his weed eater repair guy won’t return his lawn equipment.
11:42 a.m. At least one dog in Hungry Horse was barking.
1:42 p.m. Reportedly, dogs on White-  sh Stage bark when people walk by their yard.
4:40 p.m. A Shady Lane resident re- ported that the neighbor was outside near his barn.
5 p.m. A Fonner Road resident reported that an exhausted dog was in his yard. It was picked up and returned to its owner.
5:08 p.m. Something that looked like a tall Chihuahua was loose on Ridge- wood Drive.
TUESDAY 6/7
6:55 a.m. A dog with short legs killed nine chickens on Foothill Road.
8:42 a.m. A woman on Larch Lane re- ported that, within the last hour, the neighbor’s husky killed 11 of her chick- ens.
9:55 a.m. A slow driver in a little Honda was holding up tra c on Highway 35. 10:54 a.m. A Martin City man called in
to talk about the neighbor’s cats. 1:42 p.m. A complaint was made about
the raccoon hunters on Leisure Island. 4:55 p.m. Someone on Conrad Drive
claimed that their car tire was slashed. 8:17 p.m. A Kalispell woman reported that three unwanted visitors were at
her door. At least one member of the party was thought to be “certi ed cra- zy.”
9:07 p.m. A Columbia Falls resident reported that a middle-aged man got out of his car and walked up to their house and kicked out the basement window.
9:18 p.m. Someone called 911 after spotting an injured duck in the middle of Highway 2 East. The duck was gone when a deputy arrived.
WEDNESDAY 6/8
7:45 a.m. Two bags full of suspicious junk were found under the deck of a Columbia Falls motel.
10:03 a.m. A Mountain Avenue resident reported that a suspicious pug was in his yard.
12:15 p.m. Two men were overheard measuring something during an acci- dental call to 911.
12:55 p.m. Someone reported that a beagle and a dachshund were nearly hit while playing in tra c on Harmo- ny Road.
1:16 p.m. A resident on Sawmill Lane reported that the neighbor rode a dirt bike across on his property.
6:43 p.m. Two women were screaming at each other. They decided to go their separate ways for the night.
9:24 p.m. A Martin City resident said that his daughter accidentally called 911.
THURSDAY 6/9
9:53 a.m. A Fir Terrace resident re- ported that a peacock showed up at his house last night and, at the time of the call, was still there.
12:56 p.m. A large dog was trapped in a small pasture with several irritated goats.
2:44 p.m. A White sh resident report- ed that whoever took his carpet clean- ing van for a joy ride destroyed the carpet cleaning device.
4:47 p.m. A renter in Columbia Falls reported that her landlord had been rude.
5:29 p.m. A woman claimed that her ex-husband dropped three dogs in her yard and, at the time of the call, they had all busted out and were on the loose. Of the three, the one with the longest snout is the meanest.
