WHAT TO READ, SEE AND APPRECIATE
BIGFORK EXHIBIT FEATURES NEW WORKS FROM MONTE DOLACK
Monte Dolack, one of Mon- tana’s most iconic artists, will show six original and new works, at the Bigfork Museum of Art and History starting on July 17.
The exhibit, called “Monte Dolack: Landscapes and Mythol- ogies,” will remain in Bigfork until Aug. 29, and will also include some of Dolack’s popu- lar lithographs and posters.
Dolack, a native of Great Falls,
infuses his works with his love
for nature as well as his sense of
humor; some of his best known works are those of the “Invaders” series, which show wild animals wreaking havoc in human homes.
His inspirations came from growing up in the same country that drove Charlie Russell to paint, and after studying art at Montana State University and the University of Montana, Dolack opened his first stu- dio in 1974 and began a successful career in fine art and graphics.
For more information on the exhibit, visit www.bigforkmuseum.org or call 406-837-6927.
