MONDAY 8/4
6:22 a.m. A man who was traveling at an excessively low rate of speed re- portedly brandished his middle fin- ger and tossed miscellaneous objects from his car. One woman, who as- sumed the man was on drugs, claimed that her vehicle was hit and damaged by a flying object.
10:51 a.m. A Bigfork resident com- plained that the neighbors have had numerous weddings on their property. He is pretty sure they don’t have a per- mit and are doing so illegally.
11:26 a.m. A Lakeside resident heard gunshots and found several dead seagulls floating in the lake.
11:51 a.m. There are, reportedly, an as- sorted variety of dogs loose on Buffalo Stage every day.
12:20 p.m. A dog on Wintercrest Drive broke loose and chased a cat.
1:51 p.m. Someone complained about the composition of the gravel that has been dumped along Blanchard Lake Road.
2:22 p.m. A woman on Whitefish Stage claimed to have received some strange and somewhat threatening mail.
3:11 p.m. A woman on North Riding Road found a dead rabbit in her mail- box.
4:47 p.m. A red Astro van was seen swerving all over Highway 40 West near Whitefish.
5:38 p.m. A woman on Airport Road complained that a very ugly dog was on the loose.
8:46 p.m. Two stray Lhasa Apsos were scooped up and taken to the animal shelter.
9:27 p.m. A Columbia Falls woman re- ported that the neighbor kids called her an “old hag” when she yelled at them to get off of her lawn.
11:51 p.m. A man called in from a lo- cal campground to report that ap- proximately thirty drunken teenagers swarmed his van, yelled, and beat on it. He was able to escape the horde of kids before calling 911.
TUESDAY 8/5
11:43 a.m. The disruptive sound of “hollerin” was heard in the Columbia Falls area.
12:12 p.m. A woman called in from Whitefish to report that one of her renters has a marijuana operation running out of her basement.
1:28 p.m. A renter on Pleasant Lane complained that a homeless cat has been hanging around his yard, irritat- ing the landlord.
2:34 p.m. A confused-looking woman in a plum colored car was seen driv- ing erratically through the Evergreen area.
2:47 p.m. Someone called in to talk about guns.
4:17 p.m. Numerous calls were made about a menacing teenaged boy on Shadow Lane who pointed his toy gun at passing cars.
4:53 p.m. A man in a maroon pickup with a stuffed animal strapped to the grill drove into the ditch along North Meridian Road, took out a street sign on Seventh Avenue West, and drove through someone's lawn. He was pulled over shortly after.
5:13 p.m. Reportedly, someone in a red Mustang ran every stop sign on First Avenue West in Columbia Falls.
5:50 p.m. A man called from Willow Glenn Drive reporting that two teen- aged boys were floating down the river in his boat. He called back shortly af- ter from another boat to report that he was trailing the thieving boys down the river.
6:29 p.m. A man on Welf Lane reported that a drooling, rabid cat lives under his front porch.
9:11 p.m. A Columbia Falls resident suspects that some of the local kids have been shooting local rabbits with blow darts.
9:54 p.m. A balding man was seen walking down the middle of Highway 35 in Kalispell.
10:43 p.m. A Kila woman reported that the man who stole her truck on Sun- day just returned it.
WEDNESDAY 8/6
9:48 a.m. More bunnies, these ones in Hungry Horse, were assaulted with blow darts.
10:02 a.m. A resident on Orchard Ridge Drive complained that the neighbor man stands outside and screams ob- scenities at the neighborhood dogs nearly every night.
10:10 a.m. AC/DC was heard playing at extreme volumes during an accidental call to 911.
10:34 a.m. A man reported that his fire- arm was stolen out of his tractor.
12:14 p.m. A man on North Riding Road found a dead rabbit on his front porch. 3:37 p.m. Reportedly, a man walked out of a local store with one expensive and
unpaid-for coffee maker.
5:37 p.m. A bushy-haired man driving
a van with triangles on it reportedly sped through two stop lights on High- way 93 North.
THURSDAY 8/7
9:32 a.m. A cup-sized Chihuahua was impounded in the animal shelter.
9:39 a.m. Reportedly, no one on Buck- board Road drives the speed limit.
10:09 a.m. A resident on Trumble Creek Road reported that a loose cow wandered in and out of his yard.
11:32 a.m. A cat on Whitefish Stage showed its people the dead bat it found.
