SUNDAY 8/16
10:27 a.m. A woman on Beartrap Road reported that a bat had been sitting outside on her tomato plant for the entire morning, refusing to leave. She decided to take matters into her own hands and put the bat in a jar.
11:03 a.m. A NASCAR-themed man attempted to pawn some potentially stolen items. He and his friend fled on their bikes when they learned law en- forcement was notified.
11:19 a.m. Two bikes were stolen out of a carport on Bain Lane.
1:12 p.m. An evasive schnauzer was seen hiding behind a barricade of gar- bage trucks on West Valley Drive.
2 p.m. A man on Cascade Avenue in Big- fork claimed to have “prowler prob- lems” at night. He was advised to set up cameras around his property.
3:43 p.m. A small dog with what was described as “minute” amounts of hair has gone missing from its home in Lakeside.
5:53 p.m. A complaint was made re- garding four potty-mouthed teenagers in Lakeside. They were told to leave the public pavilion were they were offending other park visitors.
6:09 p.m. An employee at a Columbia Falls gas station reported that a man in a maroon truck walked out the back door with a case of beer.
6:20 p.m. A Kalispell man reported that his wife’s sister-in-law was at his house, refusing to leave.
8:18 p.m. A man on Anne Marie Road thought he heard a bullet ricochet over his head.
MONDAY 8/17
8:29 a.m. Some sort of shepherd-type dog was seen running down the high- way through Lakeside.
11:31 a.m. A local man claimed that his ex-girlfriend does not like him or his new girlfriend.
12:49 p.m. An employee of a local car wash reported that an irate custom- er drove through the parking lot in a reckless, sideways fashion.
2:10 p.m. Someone driving down High- way 93 South reported that another driver flipped him off.
5:43 p.m. A resident on Parliament Drive reported that someone drove through her yard and destroyed her mailbox.
8:05 p.m. Reportedly, three kids racing ATVs through Lakeside nearly ran over a Blacktail Road resident.
9:51 p.m. A drunken man was booted from the train in Whitefish.
2:43 a.m. A dog was howling on East Evergreen Drive.
THURSDAY 8/20
8:13 a.m. Four runaway horses were spotted standing alongside Lower Val- ley Road.
8:20 a.m. A woman on Terry Road re- ported that someone tried, but failed to take her bike from the rack on her car.
9 a.m. A Kalispell woman reported that she has issues with the pig wrestling that occurs at the county fair.
10:12 a.m. Reportedly, there was an al- tercation between a now-dead bat and one victorious cat in Whitefish.
11:07 a.m. A black-and-white cattle dog was seen running down Highway 35 in Bigfork.
12:47 p.m. A nervous looking horse was seen standing alongside Farm to Mar- ket Road.
1:21 p.m. An irritable black Lab was at large on Alpine Loop in Whitefish.
3:01 p.m. A Marion woman called in several times to complain about the neighbor’s dog as well as their contin- uous violation of fire restrictions.
4:15 p.m. A resident on Alpine Drive
in Bigfork reported that someone has been tampering with the mailboxes in the neighborhood.
8:42 p.m. Two lost children were found looking for their parents at the fair. They were both reunited with their parents.
9:43 p.m. A Hungry Horse woman re- ported that a bullet went past her and hit her neighbor’s house. She believes that the other neighbors were trying to hit her.
9:51 p.m. Two boys strayed from their parents at the county fair, but were eventually found and reunited with their worried mother.
11:33 p.m. A handful of other small children lost their parents at the fair. They, too, were reunited.
FRIDAY 8/21
3:24 p.m. A man on Fifth Avenue East in Kalispell thought he heard someone going through his silverware drawer.
3:46 p.m. A German shepherd hopped out of the car and ran away after its owner drove her Subaru into a pole at a local ice cream shop. It was found and returned to its owner.
4:19 p.m. An Irish setter was found at the mall parking lot.
4:43 p.m. A woman was detained after a failed attempt at stealing tweezers from a local store.
11:13 p.m. Walmart campers were asked to find a more appropriate camping location.
