Authorities have identified the remains of a body found in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says the remains are those of William “Bill” Steven Tebby.
The 32-year-old was last seen at a few bars on Mineral Avenue in Libby the night of May 29 and early morning of May 30 2014. The body was found earlier this month on an island in the Kootenai River near Bonners Ferry.
The coroner has not yet announced the cause and manner of death.
The death remain under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.

2. Woman Pleads Not Guilty in Attack on Daycare Owner
A Lake County woman has denied her alleged role in an attack on a northwest- ern Montana daycare worker.
KERR-AM reports 21-year-old Tashi- ana Schlensker pleaded not guilty Oct. 21 to assault with a weapon for the Oct. 7 attack on Martha McClure of Ronan.
Prosecutors say Schlensker hit McClure in the face with a snow shovel as she fought against 31-year-old Fran- cis Jackson. Jackson had arrived at the daycare to take his three children even though he does not have legal custody of them.
Jackson is charged with aggravated burglary. His arraignment was contin- ued until next week because his attorney was appointed on Tuesday and asked for more time to prepare.
District Judge James Manley set a March 14 trial date for Schlensker.
Jackson and Schlensker remain jailed in Lake County in lieu of $100,000 bail.

3. Moose Shot, Killed While Charging Dog Walker Near Victor
In the wake of a moose being shot and killed after charging a man walking his dog, wildlife officials are warning Mon- tana residents to be wary of moose due to rutting season.
The Ravalli Republic reports that a man and his girlfriend decided to take their dog for a walk on a popular trail near Victor a few weeks ago when a moose spotted them. Wildlife officials say the dog ran for it, but the man tripped while backing away. As he fell he fired multiple rounds into the charging moose.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Warden Sergeant Aaron Berg says moose can be incredibly dangerous, especially inthefallruttingseason.Hesuggestsres- idents don’t let their dogs run off leash, which can agitate moose.

4. State Given Another Extension on Driver’s License Standards
The Department of Homeland Secu- rity has granted Montana another one- year extension to meet federal driver’s license rules that were passed 10 years ago to prevent terrorism and identity theft.
The letter to Gov. Steve Bullock says Montana-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards will continue to be accepted at federal facilities that are restricted to permitting only Real ID Act-approved documents.
Homeland Security officials say the state meets 33 requirements of the 2005 law but still does not meet eight others.
Montana also was granted a one-year extension in 2015, eight months after fed- eral officials warned the state was out of compliance would be subject to restric- tions under the law.
Bullock and Attorney General Tim Fox oppose the REAL ID requirements, say- ing that Montana’s driver’s licenses are already secure.
