WHITEFISH THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS ‘DANCING WITH OUR COMMUNITY STARS’
Just like the TV program “Dancing with the Stars,” six local dancers and three judges will rehearse with the pro- fessional Utah Ballroom Dance Com- pany to put on a fun, entertaining, and hilarious show, including performances by the Utah Ballroom Dancers, for one night only, on Nov. 14.
Participants, all professed “non- dancers,” include Whitefish High School Principal Kerry Drown, Great Northern Brewery Manager Marcus Duffy, local activist Carol Atkinson, current White- fish Winter Carnival King Mark Sven- nengsen, Wasabi owner Paula Green- stein and a mystery dancer.
Judges include Whitefish HS drama coach and local actor Matt Ford, White- fish Lake Restaurant Manager Vicki Hill and Whitefish Credit Union Marketing Director Sue Schenk. It should be a fun evening, and the crowd gets to vote for who takes home the mirror ball trophy.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. Tickets are $28 and available at the O’Shaughnessy Center. For more infor- mation, call 862-5371.
TICKETS FOR ‘YULETIDE AFFAIR 11’ NOW ON SALE
It’s that time of year again, when the tickets go on sale for one of the valley’s most popular holiday theater shows, “Yuletide Affair,” from the Alpine The- atre Project in Whitefish, which takes place Dec. 20 and 21. This is the 11th year for the event, which sells out every year due to its immense popularity. The professionals at ATP arrange this musi- cal variety show with great care, and it swings from heartwarming songs to ir- reverent satire, usually based on local politics and goings–on.
This year, the lineup includes: David Ackroyd – Broadway’s Children of a Less- er God & over 40 films and TV shows ; Scott Hamilton – Classical Tenor ; Eric Michael Krop – Broadway’s Godspell; Tiffany Mann – Sweeney Todd, New York Philharmonic; Betsi Morrison – Broadway’s The Sound of Music ; Susan O’Dea – ATP’s Hedwig & the Angry Inch, The Who’s Tommy; Katy Pfaffl – Broad- way’s War Horse, Recording Artist; Dan Sharkey – Browadway’s The Music Man, Bridges of Madison, Spiderman: Turn off the Dark ; Rebecca Spear – Perennial ATP Favorite; Luke Walrath – Broad- way’s 42nd Street.
Musicians include: Rob Fahie – bass; Toby Ferguson – drums; Rob Mosher – woodwinds ; Billy Thompson – piano ; Erika Von Kleist – woodwinds.

PARK SERVICE IDENTIFIES SUSPECT IN VANDALISM AT WESTERN SITES
A 21-year-old New York woman has been identified as the primary suspect in recent vandalism cases that affect eight national parks in the western U.S.
National Park Service investigators say Casey Nocket painted images on rocks and boulders in Yosemite National Park, Death Valley National Park, and Joshua Tree National Park, all in Cali- fornia; Rocky Mountain National Park and Colorado National Monument, both in Colorado; Crater Lake National Park, in Oregon; Zion National Park and Can- yonlands National Park, both in Utah.
Investigators continue to collect evi- dence of the crimes, conduct interviews, and are consulting with the U.S. Attor- ney’s Office about potential charges.
The image in Rocky Mountain Na- tional Park was reported to the park and removed in late September before simi- lar images were found in the other na- tional parks.
Ice and snow now cover the image at Crater Lake National Park, and it may not be accessible for assessment and clean up until next summer.
An image in Yosemite Nation- al Park was removed by an unknown person or persons.
If people visiting these parks come upon these images, they should contact the nearest park ranger with informa- tion about the image location.

BIGFORK RATEPAYERS BENEFIT IN SAVINGS ON LOANS
Governor Steve Bullock says rate- payers in three Montana cities will save roughly $6.8 million in interest pay- ments on loans for water system im- provements.
Bullock earlier this year reduced interest rates for long-term and con- struction loans issued through a state program.
The governor said in a statement re- leased by his office that Butte, Roundup and Bigfork are the latest communities to benefit from the change.
The State Revolving Fund loan pro- gram was created to help cities and towns expand drinking water and sew- age facilities at the lowest possible cost. It’s administered by the Depart- ment of Natural Resources and Con- servation and the Department of Envi- ronmentalQuality.
