SCHOOL: Bigfork CLASS: Senior POSITION: Midfielder
BEFORE THE SOCCER season began, Kyle wasn’t sure he had enough team- mates to play at Bigfork. As the Vike’s reigning all-state captain, he began walking the halls recruiting school- mates. When the season arrived, the Vikings hit the pitch with four first-year players. Inexperience aside, Bigfork held its own, defeating Whitefish for the first time in program history and clinching a trip to the Class A state soccer tournament. In the team’s first- round match against the defending state champs from Livingston, Kyle scored a pair of unassisted goals to secure the 2-1 victory. Bigfork’s season ended with a loss to the eventual champ Corvallis 3-0 in the semifinals. But for a team that barely had enough players two months earlier, this was a hall- mark season. In his senior season, Kyle capped his stellar career with 12 goals.
