Opening Day
SATURDAY, DEC. 20 | BLACKTAIL MOUNTAIN
With 4 inches of fresh powder and 28 inches of settled base, Blacktail Mountain Ski Area opened its slopes overlooking Flathead Lake.
Skiers and snowboarders enjoyed gliding down runs on the Thunder- head and Olympic chair lifts while the sun peeked in and out of the clouds. The groomers were smooth and the powder was excellent for the holidays. The ski area will be open every day through Jan. 5.
