SUNDAY 8/30
8:41 a.m. A Columbia Falls man has photographic evidence depicting the destructive activities of the neighbor- hood stray dogs.
9:14 a.m. A resident on Sweet Grass Lane found that someone had smashed the window out of his truck at some point during the night.
10:04 a.m. A Bigfork resident arrived home to find that someone had torn the locks off of his garage door. He didn’t think anything had been stolen.
10:24 a.m. A woman on Montclair Drive found that her vehicle doors were open and her car had been ran- sacked. Nothing was taken.
10:53 a.m. Someone has video footage of loose dogs doing bad dog things in Marion.
12:56 p.m. Someone called in after spotting some “surfer kids” smok- ing what he assumed was marijuana. These kids, apparently, were young adults smoking cigarettes.
12:59 p.m. An injured dog that might be a Chihuahua was found near a local dry cleaner and taken to the emergen- cy veterinarian.
1:20 p.m. A skunk sprayed a runaway boxer in Lakeside. It was picked up and taken to the animal shelter.
2:05 p.m. A casino runner in Kalispell reported that a fatigued man was in the bathroom for an extended period of time and when he finally came out he was drenched in sweat.
3:31 p.m. A Kalispell man complained about the pit bulls that have been con- gregating in his yard.
6:35 p.m. A Somers woman reported that her neighbor accused her of “al- ways starting problems.” Apparently, this incident is in some way related to a barking dog.
9:04 p.m. A woman was overheard crit- icizing another woman during an acci- dental phone call to 911.
10:45 p.m. An employee of a local casi- no reported that a man with a feather
in his hat bent over and, as he did so, dropped the BB gun that had been in his coat. Apparently, he picked up the gun and immediately left without incident.
2:25 p.m. A Hungry Horse man re- ported that his brother threw a table through the window.
MONDAY 8/31
6:55 a.m. A man was seen walking backwards down Highway 2 East.
9:04 a.m. A Columbia Falls man called in looking for his runaway Australian shepherd.
3:22 p.m. A man arrived on his proper- ty on East Cottonwood Drive to find his garage doors open. He didn’t think anything was missing.
4:23 p.m. A woman on McMannamy Draw found a horse and put it in her pasture.
4:48 p.m. Someone found two presum- ably stolen refrigerators stashed in a parking lot off of East Oregon Street.
7:53 p.m. A woman on Highway 35 in Kalispell found that someone had loosened her lug nuts and slashed her tires. She has a few suspects in mind.
8:39 p.m. A Hungry Horse resident re- ported that three people were outside the neighbor’s house yelling. They were gone when a deputy arrived.
TUESDAY 9/1
8:06 a.m. A resident on Yeoman Hall Road woke to find part of someone’s vehicle lying in their yard. The resi- dent didn’t notice any property dam- age.
8:15 a.m. Apparently, six loose horses were causing problems on Witty Lane in Columbia Falls.
10:21 a.m. Two huskies were at large on Highway 2 West in Columbia Falls. They were collected and returned to their owner.
10:25 a.m. A “really big” black lab went missing from its home on Anderson Lane last night.
8:26 p.m. A man peddling his bike down Fifth Avenue West reported that a man in a Cadillac sped by and flipped him off.
9:55 p.m. A Columbia Falls man report- ed that his neighbors have been in his shed, stealing his fishing equipment.
WEDNESDAY 9/2
9:08 a.m. A black lab type dog went missing from its home on Columbia Falls Stage last Friday.
9:08 a.m. A woman on Hathaway Drive complained that two dogs, one aggres- sive and one friendly, were in her yard earlier that morning. Apparently, this is an ongoing problem.
10:07 a.m. A woman on Wagon Wheel Road reported that three bears, a sow and her cubs, were outside, preventing her from leaving her home.
11:03 a.m. A resident on Bruner Road reported that the neighbor’s runaway billy goat was outside chasing her grandkids.
4:04 p.m. A Whitefish resident report- ed that someone destroyed their mail- box and stole their very large rock.
4:23 p.m. A Pomeranian was at large on Shady Lane.
6:10 p.m. A loose cow was in need of assistance on Lone Juniper Lane.
6:55 p.m. A local man reported that 20 cows were loose and in his mother-in- law’s field.
8:37 p.m. Dogs were barking on Alder Lane in Columbia Falls.
9:18 p.m. An intoxicated man was boot- ed from the train in Whitefish.
