Glacier Symphony opens its 32nd season. The “Spellbound” concert will open with John Williams’ sparkling “Flight to Neverland” from the 1991 motion picture “Hook.” Next
up will be a thrilling musical adventure featuring guest soloist Simone Porter, a young American violin virtuoso, in a performance of the notoriously difficult “Violin Concerto in D minor,” by Nicolo Paganini. The finale will be Hector Berlioz’ iconic “Symphonie Fantastique,” a work of orchestral music so startling in concept that to this day it continues to inspire and capture the imagination.

Ivory D. Drendel, MD Family Practice
Ivory Drendel, MD, joined Kalispell Regional Healthcare in
October 2014 as a family practitioner with Big Sky Family Medicine. As a native of rural Wyoming who was trained and practiced in rural settings, she brings a valuable understanding and skill set to offer patients in western Montana. Dr. Drendel earned her honors degree with highest honors in cell biology and neuroscience from Montana State University in Bozeman. She enrolled in the WWAMI Regional Medical Education Program (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) through the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she studied at Laramie, Wyoming, and Seattle, Washington. After medical school, she completed her residency in June 2011 at the Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency
at Fort Collins, Colorado. From August 2011 until moving to Kalispell, she practiced as a family physician with Cheyenne Physician Group and Family First, PC, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She also served as adjunct clinical faculty for the University
of Wyoming since 2012. She enjoys most outdoor activities, including skiing, camping, rafting, hiking, fly-fishing and
running, but spends quiet time reading classic literature and contemporary novels. She and her husband love watching their young daughter grow and change.
