NOTICE OF RATE INCREASE AND PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that
on October 23, 2014, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of the Green Tree Meadows County Water and/
or Sewer District, Montana (the “District”), adopted a Resolution of Intention of the Green Tree Meadows County Water and/or Sewer District, Montana to Increase Rates for the Users of the District’s Water System. The District has determined that
the current rates and charges for the services and facilities afforded by the District’s water system (the “System”) are inadequate and that it is in the best interest of the District and the users of the System to in- crease the rates and charges for the services provided by the System in order to collect sufficient revenues. The District currently imposes
a monthly water rate charge on
all connections to the System of $33.00 per connection (the “Water Assessment”). The costs of the System covered by the Water As- sessment are the amount necessary to pay the costs of operating and maintaining the System, to pay the principal of and interest on any out- standing debt of the System and to establish and maintain any reserves. The District intends to increase
the monthly Water Assessment to $38.00 in 2015, $42.00 in 2016 and $46.00 in 2017.
Effective as of January 1, 2015, the District proposes to increase the Water Assessment to $38.00 per connection. Effective as of January 1, 2016, the District proposes to increase the Water Assessment to $42.00 per connection. Effective
as of January 1, 2017, the District proposes to increase the Water Assessment to $46.00 per connec- tion. This proposed rate increase represents an increase in the Water Assessment of approximately 15% over the existing Water Assessment in 2015, approximately 10.5% in 2016 and approximately 10% in 2017.
