Rotary Basketball
Rotary Basketball began in 1978, to replace the grade school program in Kalispell. The first year began with 180 boys in the program. It was expanded the following year to allow girls into the program and included 400 girls and boys. Today we offer the principal entry level program in the Flathead Valley with nearly 1000 participants in two seasons: girls which runs October through December and boys program which runs January through March.
Rotary offers basketball to three age groups - 3rd and 4th combined, 5th and 6th grades. At the 3rd and 4th grade level, we offer practice once per week and one game on Saturday for 8 weeks. 5th graders get a little more basketball by adding games on alternating weeks on Tuesdays. 6th graders get still more basketball by playing two games per week, on
Thursdays and Saturdays. The 6th graders conclude their season with a double elimination tournament.
Rotary Basketball remains the best value and is still the least expen- sive sporting program in Flathead Valley. Every child receives a Rotary Basketball Shirt, coaches, gym time, good instruction and sportsmanship, and most importantly introduction to basketball.
Early Registration (on or before 12/1/14): $35.00 per child
Regular Registration (12/1/14 to 12/15/14): $40.00 per child
AFTER 12/15/14 NO Registrations
will be accepted unless space on a team exists and then placement will occur on an as needed basis only.
