SUNDAY 11/13
6:33 a.m. A gray vehicle was driving recklessly on U.S. Highway 2. At one point the driver of the vehicle swerved across four lanes of tra c, went into the ditch, and then started driving down the opposing lane.
10:35 a.m. A Kalispell man called to report that someone has been “prowl- ing” around his storage unit. The man believed the suspect was from Libby and asked that a sheri ’s deputy fol- low him home. The Kalispell resident was informed that Libby was out of the sheri ’s o ce territory.
11:15 a.m. A Flathead resident called law enforcement reporting that they had received an email from ISIS. The resident wanted extra patrol in his area to show the militant group that the threat was being taken seriously.
11:28 a.m. A Martin City resident called to report his neighbor’s pack of dogs that are constantly at large.
1:22 p.m. A Kalispell gas station em- ployee called to report that someone in a van had stolen fuel.
2:25 p.m. A Columbia Falls child threw a rock at a windshield.
4:47 p.m. A Marion resident called to report that two men were screaming and racing ATVs.
4:55 p.m. A man driving through Somers lost his wheel.
5:48 p.m. A hunter found a suspicious and unmarked grave up the North Fork. Law enforcement responded to the scene and dug up what turned out to be a dead dog. The dog was then re- buried.
MONDAY 11/14
12:15 a.m. A resident on Flathead Drive in Evergreen called to report that someone trying to drive down the railroad tracks in an automobile had gotten stuck. A tow truck dispatched to the scene to remove the car also
got stuck on the train tracks and so a second tow truck had to be sent to the scene.
9:05 a.m. A Coram resident called to report that they were concerned about their neighbor’s sheep. The animal had matted hair and apparently didn’t have enough grass to eat. An animal control o cer rolled by the residence later that day and discovered that there was plenty of grass at the home.
10:55 a.m. A Kalispell resident called to report that they had heard multiple explosions over the weekend and they
were curious about what happened. 3:25 p.m. A concerned citizen in Co- lumbia Falls noticed that a cow had
escaped from a nearby pasture. The woman decided to knock on the door of a nearby home to let them know about lost livestock but when she did the cow attacked her. The woman ran behind a screen door and called 911 for help. The dispatcher noted that they could hear an angry cow mooing in the background during the call. Law enforcement was able to contact the homeowner and they were able to cor- ral the animal.
5:58 p.m. A Kalispell man called to re- port that his ex-girlfriend had drained the uids from his new girlfriend’s car. Upon further investigation it ap- peared to be a leaky gasket.
11:32 p.m. A Bigfork man called to ask if law enforcement had received his fax. The man was informed that they did have his fax and asked if he needed any help from a police o cer or re- ghter. The man said he was good for now but might need “all of the above” later.
TUESDAY 11/15
2:38 a.m. The Bigfork man who has been faxing the sheri ’ o ce called to speak with a deputy.
2:42 a.m. The Bigfork man who has been faxing law enforcement called again and was angry that the Sheri ’s O ce wasn’t taking his faxes serious- ly. The dispatcher told the man that his faxes were not a priority and that he should stop calling.
5:30 a.m. Bigfork man called to let dis- patch know he sent another fax but there was no need for a call back.
10:09 a.m. A Kalispell landlord called to report that one of his tenants is o her meds and throwing knives.
10:17 a.m. A Columbia Falls resident called to report that there’s a smelly dog on her porch.
11:15 a.m. A Columbia Falls man called law enforcement because he’s trying to build a fence between him and his neighbor but his neighbor had parked a dump truck where the fence is sup- posed to go. Upon further investiga- tion, the neighbor said the dump truck was dead and couldn’t be moved. The neighbor also said the dump truck wasn’t in the way of the soon-to-be- built fence. Apparently this dispute has been going on since the 1970s.
