People who love rivers can help show their support for their waterways June 23 in the Montana Raft Co. 11th annual cleanup.
The focus of the cleanup will be at public river accesses on the North Fork and Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Montana Raft Company is providing all of the necessary equipment for rafting, along with their professional guides and staff to coordinate the day.
Participants will meet at the Montana Raft Company and Glacier Guides office on U.S. 2 in West Glacier at 9:30 a.m. After gearing up, participants will be divided into smaller groups and shuttled to various river access points. Once the accesses have been cleaned, the groups will float that section of river and return to the Montana Raft office for volleyball and a free barbecue.
Volunteers should be age 12 and older. It’s recommended that volunteers bring work gloves and a water bottle. For information, call Montana Raft Co. and Glacier Guides office at 387-5555 or e-mail [email protected].
