Police Blotter: Please Keep off the Lawn

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Thursday included the following:

6:44 a.m. An elk head was stolen out of a garage on Hodgson Road in Columbia Falls.

1:05 p.m. The owner of a loose mule was required to bring the animal home.

1:10 p.m. A 12-year-old boy was spotted driving. It is assumed that he is an unlicensed driver.

3:35 p.m. A worried Whitefish resident called the Sheriff’s department when she noticed a cat near the Happy Valley Mini Mart.

4:43 p.m. A concerned parent reported an incident where a young male student requested sexual favors of an unenthusiastic female bus rider.

6:30 p.m. A brown bear cub was spotted running south along U.S. Highway 93.

7:20 p.m. A boat sank near Lost Johnny Point. Passengers were able to make it to shore safely.

11:52 p.m. A previously evicted man was asked to leave a trailer park in Columbia Falls after inconsiderately setting up camp on a resident’s lawn.

The departments responded to 161 calls for service.
