Kalispell City Council, along with employees of the planning department, public works, and City Manager Jim Patrick, will take a two-hour bus trip of the city’s new developments beginning at 6 p.m. tonight. It will not be a formal meeting. The tour will visit: residential developments like Empire Estates, Mountain Vista Estates, West View Estates; commercial developments like Old School Station, Hutton Ranch Plaza and improvements to the city airport and wastewater treatment plant; and the sites of upcoming projects like the Starling subdivision, Silver Brook Estates, Willow Creek and the Spring Prairie Shopping Center.
After the tour, back at City Hall at 8 p.m., council will discuss what it saw and how it fits into the city’s annexation policy. A discussion of ways to improve technology in order to improve citizen participation will follow.
