Police Blotter: What’s That Smell?

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

7:47 a.m. A five-car pileup near Los Caporales in Evergreen caused minimal injuries and significant traffic delays.

8:03 a.m. A barking dog on Airport Road was proving to be an ongoing problem.

9:36 a.m. A person attempted to buy things at Wal-Mart with a counterfeit travelers check.

9:51 a.m. Residents on Birch Drive called the Sheriff’s Department when they walked outside and noticed their flowers had been uprooted.

10:27 a.m. Authorities were unable to locate a suspicious gas smell coming from the cemetery on U.S. Highway 93.

11:47 a.m. A man who was turned down for a job threatened the employer via obnoxious phone calls.

12:13 p.m. Eight guns – including rifles, shotguns and hand guns – were stolen from a home on Gladys Glen Drive.

1:42 p.m. A man called the Sheriff’s Department when someone broke into his home and stole his wedding ring.

4:16 p.m. A diabetic intoxicated man required assistance when he was stung by a bee and had considerable swelling in his neck.

4:44 p.m. A man required a Breathalyzer test when he showed up to his court date inebriated.

10:10 p.m. A small fire in the Home Depot parking lot was successfully extinguished.

11:17 p.m. A man who was “flipping out” tipped a couch over onto his wife.

11:24 p.m. Theft of electricity was reported at the coffee stand next to Wal-Mart when an unwelcome motor home plugged into the stand’s outlet after hours.

The departments responded to 171 calls for service.
