The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Sunday included the following:
12:45 a.m. A vehicle was returned to its owner with a smashed door after two kids took it for a joyride.
10:47 a.m. Smoke reported on Foothill Road turned out to be a wood burning stove.
11:05 a.m. Money and a checkbook were taken out of an unlocked vehicle on Kokanee Bend in Columbia Falls.
11:54 a.m. A checkbook and a wallet were stolen out of another unlocked vehicle on Kokanee Bend.
2:48 p.m. A missing goat hunter turned up Sunday after taking an extra long time packing the animal out of Stanton Lake.
5:10 p.m. A cell phone and GPS were taken out of an unlocked vehicle on Kokanee Bend.
8:09 p.m. A man broke his wrists while trying to brace himself from a fall in Glacier National Park. He was transported to North Valley Hospital.
7:56 p.m. A cell phone and charger were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on ….can you guess?
8:47 p.m. A cat was caught and hauled off to the animal shelter.
9:18 p.m. A frightened woman called the Sheriff’s Department after she thought she might have heard someone trespassing. No one was found.
9:26 p.m. A bear was spotted in a tree on 1305 Third St. W. Lock in Kalispell.
9:58 p.m. A resident noticed a tall person peeking in their window on Ponderosa Lane. The resident let the dog out then heard someone running away.
The departments responded to 124 calls for service.
