Committee member Don Loranger moved for the committee to support the Bigfork School Bond at their September 20th meeting. The motion reads: “The Bigfork Steering Committee, mindful of the importance of education to our children’s future and convinced of the need to enhance and improve Bigfork’s school facilities to better meet the need, energetically support passage of the October 2007 school bond issue.” Leslie Budewitz seconded the motion.
Ballots for the bond were mailed out September 19th. The school board is asking for 11.1-million dollar high school bond and 5.5-million dollar elementary school bond for renovation and expansion. Ballots are due back at the district office by October 9th.
