Police Blotter: Surprise in the Barn

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Thursday included the following:

7:19 a.m. A thief snuck in through a cracked window at Greg’s Mobile Homes and stole $3,350 worth of appliances, furniture and doors from one of the models.

8:03 a.m. A man called the Sheriff’s Department because he believes someone is setting up a “network” against him and watches him while he is digging through the “green dumpsters.”

11:31 a.m. A 23-year-old man stole baseball cards from ShopKo.

12:37 p.m. A man was seen hiding behind cars and running from someone on First Street West in Kalispell.

1:14 p.m. A resident called the Sheriff’s Department when he saw a man described as wearing a “shady hat” and mirrored glasses walk into a house with a little girl. Deputies found that the man was the girl’s father and he was walking her over to a friend’s house.

1:47 p.m. A man at the Wilderness Detention Center called in to report that someone had urinated in his coffee cup.

4:17 p.m. A man called the Sheriff’s Department to let them know that his neighbor sprayed his property for weeds even though he had a sign posted that clearly said “no spraying.”

4:18 p.m. A man found a stolen KPD motorcycle in his barn. It was returned.

The departments responded to 182 calls for service.
