Police Blotter: Possible Cat Abduction

By Beacon Staff

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Monday and Tuesday morning included the following:

12:08 a.m. A fight between two young men resulted in one arrest for assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

8:38 a.m. A Chevy S10 was reported stolen on West Reserve in Kalispell.

10:23 a.m. A man built a fence on his property on Meadowlark Drive. His neighbor then walked over and spit on the fence. The man who built the fence called the Sheriff’s Department and requested a DNA check on the spit.

2:42 p.m. New residents in a house on Rapids Avenue in Columbia Falls found a cat stuck in the wall.

3:17 p.m. Someone reported seeing lots of smoke out by Teakettle Mountain. There was no fire and the “smoke” was actually a large cloud.

3:52 p.m. A Lakeside resident called the Sheriff’s Department about a neighbor who is constantly harassing him and recently put a sign up in his driveway that said “***hole drive.”

4:47 A resident on Foys Lake Road found a dead skunk in their mail box.

6:36 p.m. A resident on Shady Lane called the Sheriff’s Department about her missing cat. Apparently her neighbor had recently threatened to take the cat for “a long drive.” Now the cat is missing. There is no evidence that the neighbor actually took the cat for a long drive.

2:15 a.m. A woman who was choking on cheese needed to be transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The departments responded to 183 calls for service.
