Police Blotter: Man Loses His Finger

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Thursday and Friday morning included the following:

9:47 a.m. An employee at Simpson Motors noticed a CD player had been stolen out of her car.

12:17 p.m. A 25-year-old man called 911 when he cut one of his fingers off and was unable to find it. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

2:55 p.m. Windows were taken from a construction site on Pineview Drive in Lakeside.

3:20 p.m. A woman called the Sheriff’s Department when she noticed an arrow stuck into the side of her house.

5:29 p.m. Someone reported seeing a dead cat on Toftum Lane.

5:57 p.m. A woman called in that someone had shot a hole through her window while driving. Deputies found that in actuality, it wasn’t a bullet hole, but most likely a rock that caused the damage.

7:09 p.m. An elderly intoxicated man was booted off the train in Whitefish. A deputy kindly took him to a nearby hotel.

7:12 p.m. A man called the Sheriff’s Department after his boyfriend slapped him.

9:12 p.m. A conscientious Bigfork resident called the Sheriff’s Department to recommend that they do something about all the drugs floating around the town.

9:39 p.m. A 29-year-old woman was caught shoplifting at Super One.

12:22 a.m. A very intoxicated woman called the Sheriff’s Department to report that she had gotten a ride home from a bar with two men. On the way the men started to act “weird” so she jumped out of the car and ran to Woody’s.

The departments responded to 198 calls for service.
