Police Blotter: Man Steals His Own Car

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Monday included the following:

12:19 a.m. A man that was involved in heated row with his wife stabbed himself with a knife. When deputies arrived he refused medical assistance and was taken to jail on assault charges.

6:58 a.m. A window was found broken at Pierson Trucking. Nothing was reported missing.

7:35 a.m. A weird man wearing a black coat was seen wandering around the neighborhood and hiding in the bushes on Willow Glen Drive.

7:52 a.m. A woman who was acting strange and drinking heavily was standing on Browns Meadow Road and threatening to commit suicide.

8:20 a.m. A rock was thrown through the window at a body shop where tools and a Toyota mini van were stolen. The mini van was found in the owner’s driveway.

5:22 p.m. A resident in Martin City reported that two adult grizzly bears and two cubs were standing on her deck.

5:50 p.m. A man came home to find that four of his 8-foot tall fir trees had been chopped down. The man said he was going to ask his neighbor if he did it.

5:53 p.m. A woman called the Sheriff’s Department about a prowler who has been lurking around her house for several months. She says she knows this because whenever he comes around her dogs go missing for a couple of days and come back only when the prowler leaves.

9:25 p.m. A woman in Hungry Horse called about a vicious dog that had cornered her on her porch. The animal warden is looking into it.

9:44 p.m. A window at Patty Seaman Homes was found broken. Nothing was missing.

The departments responded to 105 calls for service.
