CORAM (AP) – An employee at the Great Bear Adventure drive-through bear park in Coram was mauled by a grizzly bear Friday afternoon.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Lt. Bob Provo says the 23-year-old man was mauled in the groin and flown to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Coram and West Glacier fire officials say the man was responsive after the attack, but was in extreme pain with multiple cuts to his legs and puncture wounds.

Fire officials said he was in stable condition at the hospital.

State Fish, Wildlife and Parks Department employees were investigating and were not available for comment.
