CFHS Speech and Debate team heads for Polson

Despite taking only part of their team to last Saturday’s Bigfork Invitational, the five-time Class A State Champion CFHS speech and debate team came away with first place among the Class A schools. This Saturday, the early bus takes the team to Polson, where it’s expected that each team will be bringing their A game – as well as a full slate of competitors.

Last week’s team results in Class A: Columbia Falls 54, Whitefish 30, and Polson 20.

Tiffany Gross – 1st place in Lincoln Douglas Debate
Tashia Shupert – 2nd place in Extemporaneous
Alex Prince – 2nd place in Impromptu
Candy Ward – 2nd place in Humorous Oral Interpretation
Ryan Cox – 3rd place in Serious Oral Interpretation
Patrick Ingham – 4th place in Extemporaneous
Laura Burgess – 8th place in Humorous Oral Interpretation
Trevor Jones – 8th place in Expository
