Police Blotter: Inmate in Time Out, Who’s That Knocking?

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Thursday and Friday morning included the following:

7:53 a.m. A stereo was stolen out of a vehicle on Cooperative Way in Kalispell. There was no forced entry.

10:15 a.m. An inmate in the Detention Center punched another inmate for running his mouth. The abusive inmate is now in isolation.

1:37 p.m. Someone stole a sign from Cedar Lane in Whitefish.

2:22 p.m. A man’s brother shot his dog.

3:24 p.m. A man called in because his rifle was stolen, but then on second thought, he wasn’t sure if he left it in the woods. Either way, it is gone.

4:31 p.m. A young man drove his car into the side of a gas station in Columbia Heights then drove away.

6:06 p.m. Two miniature trains were stolen out of a home on Flathead Drive.

7:56 p.m. A woman in Columbia Falls called in to complain about an unknown amount of people walking through her yard and knocking on the walls of her mobile home. The unknown knockers were not found.

2:25 a.m. A “very, very” intoxicated man called the Sheriff’s Department because he was concerned about his cousin in Seattle.

3:45 a.m. A man who had been beaten up by several bullies behind a gas station in Whitefish texted “help me” to a friend. The Whitefish Police Department responded and helped the busted up man.

The department responded to 145 calls for service.
