Montana Defeats Colorado State

MISSOULA (AP) — Andrew Strait scored 14 points to help Montana to a 75-39 win over Colorado State during the teams’ season opener Friday night.

Jordan Hasquet scored 12 points for the Grizzlies (1-0), and Cameron Rundles and Matt Martin each added 11.

Montana led 26-19 at halftime and outscored the Rams 49-20 in the second half. The Grizzlies hit 48 percent of their shots compared with 34 percent shooting by the Rams.

Willis Gardner and Stuart Creason led Colorado State (0-1) with 10 points apiece. Gardner had a team-high seven rebounds.
