BOZEMAN (AP) – Casey Durham made a fade-away jumper with three seconds left to lead Montana State to an 86-84 victory against Boise State on Friday night.
Anthony Thomas’ field goal with 16 seconds left brought Boise State to within a point at 84-83. He was fouled on the shot and injured. Tyler Tiedeman shot the free throw to tie the game at 84-84. But Durham’s fade-away sealed the win for the Bobcats (2-1).
Bobby Howard led Montana State with 27 points, including five 3-pointers. Durham added 16 points. Divaldo Mbunga, MSU’s leading scorer, was held to just two points.
The Broncos went ahead 12-3 early in the first half, But the Bobcats rallied with a 20-6 run to make the score 49-36 at halftime.
Matt Bauscher led Boise State (1-2) with 20 points. Reggie Larry added 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
