More Than One in Three Montanans Believe in UFOs

By Beacon Staff

HELENA (AP) – To a number of Montanans, those bright lights in the sky could be something quite significant.

A new poll shows 35 percent believe in the existence of UFOs.

While about 50 percent say they do not believe in unidentified flying objects, another 15 percent say they are unsure.

The question was asked in a poll by Montana State University-Billings earlier this month in telephone interviews with just over 400 Montana adults.

A recent national poll conducted by The Associated Press found that 14 percent say they have seen a UFO.
