Montana State Drops Alcorn State

BOZEMAN (AP) – Adrian Zamora scored a career-high 16 points to help lead Montana State to an 83-57 win against Alcorn State in the first round of the GranTree Inn Classic tournament on Friday.

Carlos Taylor added 13 points, while Casey Durham and Mecklen Davis had 12 points apiece for Montana State (3-3). The Bobcats advanced to the championship game for the 11th time in the tournament’s 12-year history. They’ll face Pepperdine (4-4), which defeated Texas-Pan American 86-84 in an earlier game.

Montana State led by as many as 31 points in the second half.

Alex Owumi led the Braves (0-5) with 14 points and eight rebounds. Anthony Ford added 11 points.
