Montana Comes From Behind to Defeat Portland 67-63

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Laura Cote scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds to help put Montana past Portland 67-63 on Wednesday night.

Sonya Rogers added 15 points and Johanna Closson had 12 for the Lady Griz (4-3). Britney Lohman led the team with 10 rebounds.

Montana trailed 25-20 at the break but chipped away at Portland’s lead in the second half. The Lady Griz came to within three points on three occasions midway through the second half. They took a 48-47 lead on a Cote 3-pointer with 6:34 remaining.

The Pilots (6-3) closed the gap to two points at 65-63 with seven seconds to play, but Montana went 9-for-10 from the line over the final 1:23 to hold on to the win.

Laiken Dollente led Portland with 13 points. Rachel Warren added 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
