MSU Pulls Away From Great Falls

BOZEMAN (AP) – Mecklen Davis scored 18 points to help lead Montana State to an 80-48 victory against Great Falls on Friday night.

Casey Durham scored all of his 14 points in the first half. Branden Johnson added 13 points and a career-high nine rebounds for the Bobcats (6-5).

Great Falls kept it close for much of the first half. But the Bobcats went on a 14-0 run capped by a Davis jumper to give them an 18-point lead with 5:30 remaining before halftime. The Argonauts, who shot just 30 percent from the field, didn’t get within 20 points in the second half.

Rayshawn Ames led Great Falls (3-7) with 15 points, while Cory Brothers and Jay Jamieson added 12 points apiece.
