Police Blotter: Beer Stolen in Hungry Horse, Jewelry From ShopKo

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

8:23 a.m. A landlord in Whitefish called in because a renter had left a cat behind with no food or water. The renter claimed he stopped by daily to feed the cat. He said he will move the cat later.

9:22 a.m. Someone from Hungry Horse called in to say that they saw two men fighting.

10:11 a.m. A thief stole a quilt from the professional center in Columbia Falls

11:15 a.m. A woman called in to say that she paid for furniture from a Kalispell store ages ago and still has not received her items.

1:17 p.m. A woman called in to the Sheriff’s Department to complain about a woman she is indebted to who will not stop calling her asking for money.

1:52 p.m. Deputies had to help settle a dispute between a employee with a phone provider a Kalispell resident he was helping out. The customer parked behind the phone guy’s car and refused to move it. He was angry because he couldn’t get out. Deputies offered a helping hand.

3:32 p.m. A 25-year-old man at the North Shore Bowling Alley in Bigfork punched a 17-year-old kid in the eye.

4:24 p.m. Three 17-year-old runaway girls were charged with theft after stealing custom jewelry and clothing from ShopKo in Kalispell.

6:24 p.m A car caught on fire on US Highway 2, but it was put out.

8:19 p.m. An 11-year-old kid claimed two boys on Big Mountain assaulted him. He was taken to North Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.

10:48 p.m. A woman called in to report that a man tried to run her over.

1:27 a.m. A juvenile stole an 18-pack of Bud Light and two cartons of cigarettes from a gas station in Hungry Horse.

The departments responded to 131 calls for service.
