Montana State Pummels Evergreen State

BOZEMAN (AP) – Carlos Taylor scored 18 points to lead Montana State to a 92-56 victory over Evergreen State Friday night.

Taylor missed all four of his 3-point attempts.

Montana State (7-5) out-rebounded its NAIA opponent 44-29 in the win.

Divaldo Mbunga was just one rebound shy of his first ever double-double for the third time this season, scoring 12 points and grabbing nine boards in 21 minutes of play.

Nick Moore led Evergreen State (7-3) with 13 points and 6 rebounds, while Bobby Howard finished with 13 points and five rebounds. Nate Menafee also had 13 points for Evergreen State, while Mike Ward added another 11.

James Hennessy scored a career-high 11 points and three steals, contributing to Montana State’s 43 points off the bench.

Montana State led by 24 points at the half and by as much as 39 points late in the second period.

Evergreen State shot 42 percent from the field and made two of just six shots from the line.
