Ferndale Suspicious Death Ruled a Homicide

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that the Dec. 31 suspicious death of a Ferndale man is currently being investigated as a homicide. The victim was identified as Clyde Wilson, 24.

Police received a call around 5:30 a.m. about shots fired the morning of the incident, and investigators spent the following two days at the small cabin on Meadow Creek Road where the homicide occurred interviewing suspects and processing the scene.

Neighbors and acquaintances of Wilson interviewed Tuesday, who did not wish to be identified, said Wilson lived with his girlfriend and small child. Those interviewed did not hear shots fired the night of the homicide, and added that Wilson had no known enemies.
