Police Blotter: Dual Trespassers, Weird Timing

By Beacon Staff

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

11:01 a.m. An employee at a golf club unintentionally set off a burglary alarm.

11:50 a.m. Deputies needed to track down a 14-year-old girl who didn’t turn up at school. She was hauled back to her parent’s house when she was caught playing hooky with a girlfriend.

1:39 p.m. A Whitefish resident and their neighbor keep calling the Sheriff’s Department because they apparently trespass on each other’s property.

2:13 p.m. A woman fell off a six-foot ladder.

2:42 p.m. A mailbox exploded on Browns Road.

3:18 p.m. A woman’s worried friend called in because she saw the woman’s ex-boyfriend parked in her driveway. The unwanted man was gone when deputies arrived.

5:22 p.m. A woman reported that her husband had called her while on his way home from work to tell her that he didn’t feel well. The phone cut out during the conversation and she became worried. The Sheriff’s Department informed her that, coincidentally, her husband had just been pulled over and seemed to be feeling just fine.

6:00 p.m. Two young females needed to be counseled by deputies for sending each other stupid and nasty text messages.

The departments responded to 122 calls for service.
